It has been a mixed bag since the first PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN trilogy, with films like PRINCE OF PERSIA, TRON: LEGACY and JOHN CARTER not quite reaching the same level of success.
And now Disney is reuniting three cogs of that original Pirates franchise to see if lightning can strike twice. Jerry Bruckheimer is producing, directing LONE RANGER is Gore Verbinski (RANGO) and starring as Tonto is Johnny Depp (PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES).
Completing the central cast is Armie Hammer (THE SOCIAL NETWORK) as the Lone Ranger and now the first image of Depp and Hammer in their roles has hit the web.
