SPORTS: NFL 2012 Predictions


After taking the summer off of blogging for a little R&R, September has arrived, fall is right around the corner and the itch to write has returned just in time for the new National Football League season and another year of predictions.

Last year, the site predicted correctly the AFC champion, New England Patriots, the league MVP, Aaron Rodgers, picked 3 AFC division winners (and the AFC Championship game matchup) & 3 NFC playoff teams.

Now, this year's picks, starting first with team projections:

AFC East: NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS - 11-5
AFC North: BALTIMORE RAVENS - 12-4
AFC South: HOUSTON TEXANS - 13-3
AFC West: OAKLAND RAIDERS - 10-6
Wildcards: KANSAS CITY CHIEFS - 10-6, PITTSBURGH STEELERS - 10-6

Wildcard Round: PATRIOTS over STEELERS, RAIDERS over CHIEFS
Divisional Round: TEXANS over RAIDERS, RAVENS over PATRIOTS
AFC Championship: TEXANS over RAVENS

NFC East: DALLAS COWBOYS - 11-5
NFC North: GREEN BAY PACKERS - 10-6
NFC South: ATLANTA FALCONS - 12-4
NFC West: SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS - 11-5
Wildcards: SEATTLE SEAHAWKS - 10-6, CHICAGO BEARS - 9-7
